Zonta welcomes new members into the club

AS THE year draws to a close, the Zonta Club reflects on the year that was and looks forward to the new one with anticipation as Zonta Clubs worldwide will be celebrating 100 years of service.

We had a fitting end to our year by inducting five new members into the Stanthorpe Zonta Club at our Christmas party. We are pleased to be able to welcome Belinda Lister, Danii Bennett, Cheryl Davies, Hayley Latham and Ruby Wittkopp into the club and know they will make a worthwhile and welcome contribution. Sallyanne Keevers will be inducted early in the new year and we look forward to welcoming her into the club as well.

The Christmas party was a happy and relaxed evening in the lovely spacious home of Steve and Sandy, our district governor. It was a delightful way to relax and unwind a little after a busy and productive year of Zonta service.

Things coming up in the new year include a brunch in Brisbane in early February to launch the centenary in District 22 and our annual Yellow Dinner celebrating International Women's Day on March 8. Keep this last date free as we'd love to see as many of you as possible at the college to join us in celebrating women's achievements and aspirations.

We in Zonta would like to thank all those of you who have loyally and generously supported us throughout the year, and extend to everyone our warmest wishes for a happy and peaceful Christmas.
