TWO youths have stolen a scooter from another child at a Toowoomba skate park.

Police are investigating after the seven-year-old's scooter was stolen about 4.20pm on Friday, March 30.

The victim was with his mother at Black Gully Park at Rockville when the incident happened.

Police said while his mother was talking to other people, the victim was approached by two youths who asked to borrow his scooter and offered to show him a trick.

The two youths then ran off with the scooter and were last seen running towards Tor St.

They are described as between 12 and 14 years-old, indigenous in appearance and of an average build with curly black hair.
