Youth fill the library to meet Andy Griffiths

YOUTH are lined almost to the front door of the library to have their books signed by children's author Andy Griffiths.

His Gladstone visit is for The Curtis Coast Literary Carnivale, thanks to the Gladstone Regional Libraries and the Brisbane Writers Festival.

Over the past 20 years Andy's books have won more than 50 Australian children's choice awards, frequented the New York Times bestseller lists, and been adapted for the stage and television.

This afternoon he is at the Gladstone City Library until 6pm for book signings.
