Young athletes travel subsidy now available
THE travel subsidy aims to help alleviate the costs associated with attending championship events.
Athletes and officials can apply for the funding provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Gambling Community Benefit Fund (GCBF)
Round 88 of the GCBF is due to open mid-January and will close at midnight on February 29.
This GCBF is an amalgamation of several grants including the Jupiter's Casino Community Benefit Fund.
Clubs are reminder that if they wish to put an application in for a project that involves the construction or alteration of a building/structure on Council land then they need to discuss this in the first instance with their Sport and Recreation Officer who can help them obtain the appropriate approvals.

Baseball State Titles
Musketeers Sports Club will host the 2016 Baseball Senior League State Titles for both boys and girls this week.
Why not take the family down for a look at some of the states up and coming baseballers.

Little Athletics Carnival
Little Athletics participants from around south-east Queensland will converge on the Ipswich Little Athletics site to compete in the annual Twilight Carnival.
Kids aged five to 16 will compete in events throughout the day.
If you have a child who might be interested in joining a little athletics club, take them down for a look to see how the sport is conducted.
