You'll get so much 'Moore'
IF YOU need help looking for truck parts, Peter Moore is your man.
Peter, who is the owner of Moore Truck Parts, started his career in the transport industry with an apprenticeship as a panel beater in Campbelltown in New South Wales, so he has a great understanding of cabin parts.
He had an auto dismantling business and was working on passenger vehicles, but decided he wanted to specialise in truck cabin panel and lights.
So, Moore Truck Parts was born.
The business, at Smeaton Grange in Sydney's south west, was established in 1980 and is a 100 per cent Australian owned company which has been importing new after-market truck panels and parts for more than 15 years.
"We were the first company to import truck panels to Australia and also the only company that has the confidence in their product to give a lifetime warranty - yes a lifetime warranty, on truck body parts,” he said.
"Not even the vehicle manufacturer can do that.”
Peter said the store had the largest range of after- market panels to suit Japanese and European trucks.
Their range includes bumper bars, grilles, doors, front panels, corner panels, step panels and plates, door glass and winder mechanisms, just to name a few.
Peter said they favoured the Japanese and European models because "we really want to give our customers a reliable alternative to expensive and sometimes not available for weeks OEM parts”.
He said they were also starting to add American trucks to their line.
"This is a hard job for us as a lot of the American trucks are exclusive to Australia and therefore hard to source,” he said.
Peter said Moore Truck Parts could arrange delivery Australia wide and they often sent parts to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
"Moore Truck Parts has no connections, sponsorship, relationship with any original parts or truck manufacturer,” he said.
"We purely offer a good quality alternative for the truck owners and repairers.”
