You can’t miss Booyal Hall’s billboard on the Bruce Hwy

THE Booyal Memorial Hall Committee had a vision for a noticeboard, and now an eye-catching billboard adorns the Bruce Highway near the Booyal Service Station.

Secretary Heather McMahon said the blackboard in the centre of the billboard will be updated with announcements regularly.

The Hall wants to include residents who don't use a computer. The billboard also invites people from other towns who are most welcome at the events the halls puts on.

Mrs McMahon expresses her gratitude to its sponsors who played a crucial role in acquiring the materials for the billboard.

The Booyal Hall's recent "Camp Oven Night" and "Photography Workshops" were a huge success. The winning pictures from the photography workshop were chosen from 66 entries and will feature in the first Booyal 2016 calendar. Upcoming events are a Blue Light Disco on August 15 and Trivia Night on September 26.

Part two of the "10000 Step Challenge" starts at on August 16 and runs until September 12. This four-week challenge sees teams of four record the number of steps they take in the four-week challenge.

New teams are welcome. Contact the hall by e-mail heabens@gmail.com or call Heather McMahon 0417 951 154.
