Yard party shut down, teen cops $200 bill for loud music

TEENAGER Elijah Warde suffered the indignity of a ruined party after Gladstone police shut it down.
Neighbours of the 17-year-old complained about the noise and police turned up.
Gladstone Magistrates Court heard Warde was given a noise abatement warning on Saturday night April 2 because the music was too loud.
However, police were again called back to the party before 11pm.
Prosecutor Gavin Reece said 100 people were in the rear of the yard drinking when officers shut the party down.
Warde pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a noise abatement direction and fined $200.
