THE Professional Women's Network of Chinchilla is excited to be holding a Work Life Choices dinner next month.

The whole community is invited to attend the special event on July 14 to wine, dine and have a good time.

In further exciting news, PWNC has arranged for Amelia Hodge, Queensland Law Society chief executive officer, as the special guest speaker for the event.

Ms Hodge will speak across a range of topics on the night, including the proverbial work/life balance, giving and receiving feedback, and workplace negotiation strategies, while also sharing her own experiences as a lawyer working in both regional and metropolitan Queensland.

"(I have a) personal passion to meaningfully give back, learn, mentor and share my journey in the hope that others may see theirs in some of my experiences, or that others might start to see where their own personal opportunities can be built upon and taken forward," Ms Hodge said.

" I haven't had the most typical of legal careers, nor some shiny career plan, and every step was a bit of a leap of faith into areas that interested me or things I felt were going to be an interesting and a good piece of the larger long-term jigsaw puzzle."

The event will be on Thursday, July 14, from 5.45pm at the Club Hotel.
