Woman taken to hospital after boat crash

A WOMAN was taken to hospital this morning after two boats collided on water.

Volunteer Marine Rescue responded to the incident and brought the woman, who suffered facial injuries, back to Gladstone where they were met by paramedics.

She was taken to hospital for observation in a stable condition.

Although police were called to the scene they haven't opened an investigation; instead Volunteer Marine Rescue will conduct its own inquiries into the collision.
