Woman hospitalised after crash on notorious stretch

A WOMAN has been hospitalised after crashing into a power pole on a notorious Nambour road this morning.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said paramedics were called to Carter Rd at 10.15am to reports of a single-vehicle crash.

The woman had removed herself from the car and had no serious injuries, the spokesman said.

She was taken to Nambour Hospital in a stable condition.

Just two months ago, a motorbike rider was killed in a two-vehicle crash on the same stretch.
