Woman dies two days after crash

A WOMAN has died and a truck driver has been charged over her death, two days after a serious crash in McLaren Vale.

The 50-year-old McCracken woman was critically injured when her car collided with a truck at the intersection of Seaview Rd and Victor Harbor Rd.

She died from her injuries on Thursday at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.

The driver of the truck, a 22-year-old Findon man, was not injured in the crash but returned a blood alcohol reading of .093.

Police have upgraded charges against him to causing death by dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear in court in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court.

The death takes the state’s road toll to 25, compared to 16 at the same time last year.
