Wilson basketball with barnacles washes up on Fraser Island
WHILE actor Tom Hanks didn't come to the Fraser Coast to promote his latest movie about Mary Poppins, it seems a cousin of Wilson, his co-star from Cast Away, has.
A Wilson basketball - complete with barnacles - washed up on Fraser Island's eastern beach, tickling the fancy of our boys and girls in blue.
Maryborough police said the ball was found by a Volunteer in Policing member near Eli Creek and they wondered if it might be a cousin to Wilson the volleyball featured in Cast Away.
