Wild weather for South Burnett over next 48 hours
UPDATE 1:40pm: PURSER'S Coaches do not expect services to be cancelled.
A spokeswoman at Purser's Coaches said no roads on the Caboolture to Murgon line had been closed, and services would continue to run.
Passengers are still advised to check current timetables with the operator before travelling.
Purser's Coaches bus line runs between Monday and Friday.
Tropical Cyclone Marcia has been downgraded to Category 3 after reaching a Category 5 system, but wind gusts of more than 200km/hr have been recorded as it moves down Queensland's coast.
EARLIER: Tropical Cyclone Marcia has now been upgraded to Category 3.
UPDATE 12.22pm: Estimates of between 400-500mm rainfall are now expected to hit the South Burnett Region within the next couple of days.
South Burnett Region Disaster Management Coordinator Stan Taylor said emergency crews are all activated and on stand-by for when responses start rolling in.
"We have heard the storm is going to hit a bit higher, which means we could be in for more rain than expected," Mr Taylor said.
Emergency swift water technicians "who save people from the water" have also been told to get ready.
UPDATE 9.20pm: The tropical low developing in the Coral Sea has curved on a southwesterly track and is expected to make landfall north of Yeppoon as a category 2 cyclone.
The Bureau of Meteorology predicts it will make landfall early on Friday.
A category 2 cyclone has winds of between 125km/h and 164km/h.

RAINFALL of between 100 to 150mm is expected in the South Burnett over the next 48 hours as Tropical Cyclone Marcia spreads wild weather across the state.
Bureau of Meteorology spokesman Jess Carey said it was likely the category one cyclone would cross the coast near Gladstone, pushing high rainfall right down into South East Queensland with some areas expecting up to 500mm.
South Burnett Mayor Wayne Kratzmann and South Burnett Region Disaster Management Coordinator Stan Taylor attended the Tropical Cyclone Weather Teleconference Briefing conducted by the State Disaster Coordination Centre this afternoon.
South Burnett Regional Council have warned the heavy rainfall could cause flash flooding and urged residents to be prepared.
