Who keeps track of renewal notices?

TO JOHN Blanchfield regarding vehicle rego renewal notices: I also rang QT after not receiving either of my renewal notices and the customer service officer did say they were still being mailed, unlike the stickers.

She also admitted that quite a few people had complained of not receiving them lately.

The notices are electronically generated.

When I pointed out that they still have to be put in envelopes and mailed, she said that this was now being "out-sourced".

We know Australia Post is very reliable, so not having the Transport Department completing the job is obviously where the problem lies.

I note other readers have been complaining about not receiving their notices and getting fined.

I read recently that 50,000 Queenslanders were fined for driving unregistered cars in the last year.

I'd hazard a guess that a high proportion of them are because of not receiving their notices.

Is anyone supervising the "out-sourcers"?
