Where are these huge wind turbines going?

WATCH out, there's another super load on the roads in Victoria.

VicRoads is currently ensuring the safe arrival of hundreds of wind turbine parts between ports in Geelong and Portland to various areas in south west and western Victoria.

VicRoads Heavy Vehicle Services director Eric Henderson said moving hundreds of wind turbine parts, some almost 100 metres long, requires detailed planning and careful coordination across the state.

"Where possible, the largest wind turbine movements will occur at night to minimise disruption to the public," he said.

"Our transport safety services officer escort the biggest and heaviest movements to ensure the safety of everyone sharing the road."

The movements will be taking place until August later this year.
