YOUR PHOTOS: When heavenly bodies collide

PLANETS are rarely seen so close together or so brightly, but over the past month the conjunction of Jupiter and Venus has been blazing across the Warwick night sky.

In a display some believe could have been the Star of Bethlehem, the two planets have put on an impressive display.

Local photographer Chantelle Cunningham started her own photography company, Devine Imagery, and managed to take a close-up photo of the spectacle in the night sky.

"I never thought I would get so close. It's exciting as a photographer," Chantelle said.

As the two planets start getting closer to the sun they will be less visible.

The planets are literally aligning right now, with Venus and Jupiter starting this month with just half a degree space...
