Mindfulness Yoga for Kids

Cost: $30 per child or $50 for two children
What: Introduce your children to the mindfulness of yoga at the Salt Caves this school holidays. There is no charge for one accompanying adult, and bookings are required. Call 4659 9269 to book.
Storytime
When: Tuesday, July 4, 9.45am to 10.45am
Where: Toowoomba City Libray, cnr Herries and Victoria st
Cost: Free
What: Storytime is a session full of stories, rhymes and songs aimed at two to five year-old children (all ages welcome) and their parents/carers. These sessions give children a fun and relaxed start to their reading development before school through interactive storytelling, music, play and art.
Snow Slingers
When: Saturday, June 24, to Sunday, July 9
Where: Grand Central Shopping Centre
Cost: Free
What: This school holidays, Grand Central is being transformed into a winter wonderland using augmented and virtual reality! Sling virtual snowballs at your opponent in the Centre Court, play Capture the Flag with your smartphone, create your own Snow Slinger at the Avatar Creation Station or design your own keep cup. Participating can give you a chance to win a $100 gift card.
Under Construction
When: weekdays from Monday, June 26, to Friday, July 7, 10am, 11.30am, 1pm
Where: Cobb+Co Museum, 27 Lindsay St
Cost: $10 per child
What: Dream it. Design it. Build it. Enter the Construction Zone to make your own creations using Lego, Duplo and other construction materials. Learn how to design and build the strongest, biggest, tallest structures, and see how to make and program robots. Enter the daily construction challenge, follow the yellow brick trail and more!
Magical Parks
When: until Sunday, July 9, 8am to 5pm
Where: Queens Park, Newtown Park and Gordon Park

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
When: Saturday, July 8, 2pm to 5pm
Where: Empire Theatre
Cost: $25 adults and $16 children
What: This family musical will feature more than 100 Toowoomba schoolchildren aged between 10 and 18. A sensational score by the renowned Sherman Brothers (Richard and Robert) includes such unforgettable songs as "Truly Scrumptious" and, of course, its Oscar-nominated title song.
