Venus rediscovers love for couples

BEING co-owner of Purely Venus, Allie Morris has all a woman needs for Valentine's Day at her fingertips.

But she knows best that as romantic as roses, chocolates and cuddly teddies may seem, that's no way to bring the love back this Valentine's Day.

So for Allie's partner, Peter Gentle, it's his A-game and nothing less that's expected on the romantic day.

"I think it will be a really nice present and cooking a nice dinner for her," Peter said.

Allie said it's all about keeping the love alive, no matter what age you are.

"We have one couple that comes shopping with us every few months," she said.

"It's a blast having them come back holding hands and giggling like love struck teenagers and this year is their 15th wedding anniversary.

"Most of our clients are married with kids and want to keep intimacy alive, which can become hard with the everyday stresses".

And that's where, Purely Venus on East St comes in, inspiring Rockhampton couples to bring the love affair back into the bedroom.

"We want to help couples re-energise their relationship and Valentine's Day is a great day to get that kick-start," Allie said.

"The Love Room at Purely Venus houses all the inspiration you need to make this Valentine's Day a roaring success."

"It's all about creating moments for a couple's communication, and even though that's so obvious, it's so important to keep a relationship strong."

Manager Bek McKenzie said they tried to keep the sensual boutique as up to date as possible.

"We research all our products so we know everything about them and can educate our customers," Bek said.

A Valentine's Day to Remember competition will be drawn today, so if you've entered, keep your phone handy because The Morning Bulletin could be calling you.
