Twilight Mackay Marina Run

When: Friday, March 2, 6pm

Where: BCC car park, Wood Street

Details: The launch of the Twilight Marina Run will be held tonight. Everyone is welcome; walkers, runners, dancers and prams. Participants can register from 5pm for a 6pm start. It is $10 for adults and $5 students to enter. All proceeds from the event will go to the Leukaemia Foundation.

Bigger Better Stronger 2018

When: Friday, March 2, 7.30am to 5.30pm

Where: The MECC

Details: The annual Bigger Better Stronger conference is focusing on how Mackay region business owners can harness confidence and grow their business.

All About Women Satellite

When: Sunday, March 4, noon

Where: MECC Plenary Halls

Details: You don't need to be at the Sydney Opera House on March 4 to experience the main stage action of All About Women. The MECC will be streaming live up to three headline sessions and an exclusive backstage interview, direct from the Sydney Opera House. The All About Women Satellite Program invites you to reflect on the past and imagine the future of feminism.

Details: After a triumphant national tour in 2016, Bangarra take their triple bill Our Land People Stories to regional Australia in 2018. Bangarra's dance technique is forged from over 40,000 years of culture, embodied with contemporary movement.

Magpies Crusaders

When: Saturday, March 3, 7pm

Where: Sologinkin Oval, Magpies Sporting Club

Details: Join the Crusade as Mackay & Whitsundays' National Premier League team Magpies Crusaders United plays at home against Lion FC in Round f5 of the National Premier League. There will be entertainment, half-time games and a canteen and bar.

The Just Saying Project's Fabulous Figures Exhibition

When: March 4-22

Where: Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 3pm

Details: The exhibition features more than 60 women from Mackay and surrounding communities who bravely volunteered to bare all, along with six photographers, one artist and writer, to bring to life the stories of each woman and their bodies.

The Just Saying Project, created this exhibition to help women feel empowered to embrace their bodies, build self-esteem in women and young girls in the Mackay community and to remind women how strong and beautiful they are.

After the Storm Exhibition

When and where: Dudley Denny City Library - until April 21 and Gordon White Library - until March 31
