What truckies think of new sleeper cabs

KENWORTH's "best truck yet” added a new 600mm aero roof sleeper cab to complement existing options, but, truckies aren't as happy as you'd think they'd be.

Paul S Godden said it was making good use out of a small space, but it still wasn't big enough to live in for a week or two.

"We need to get on to our stupid regulators and legislators that force those of us who live on the road to live in these tiny spaces,” he said.

"Make trailer combinations a set length and let a decent length prime move hook onto it. Nothing stupidly long but a decent bunk makes a big difference.”

Ken worth agreed.

"What do I think of it? It's crap! We should be getting more living space not less! Why is it our occupational health and safety doesn't seem to matter? It's the same with these rubbish butterbox cab euro trucks. Tell your boss you don't want one no matter how much stainless bling and fat stacks you throw on it.”

Christopher Blanchard joked, "I don't know why everyone complains about bunk size, when you go home the wife still only leaves you two feet of bed to sleep on!”
