Western Star celebrates 50 years with Show n Shine

FOR HALF a century Western Star Trucks have been roaming our roads and highways, as one of the favourite  brands in the business.

To celebrate this historical brands 50th anniversary, Penske Commercial Vehicles is hosting a Show n Shine event for all Western Star truck owners and drivers on September 9.

To be held at Mt Cotton Training Centre in Queensland, the Show n Shine is an opportunity for the Western Star faithful to proudly display their machinery while enjoying a fun day out with family and friends.

$50,000 worth of prizes will be awarded to participants with the trucks to be judged across several categories including trucks aged under five years, trucks aged five to 10 years, trucks over 10 years old, best fleet and best tipper.

"We are very excited to be hosting the Show n Shine for Western Star owners and drivers," said Kevin Dennis, Managing Director of Penske Commercial Vehicles.

"The 50th anniversary milestone speaks volumes about the Western Star Trucks brand and the robust, efficient truck models that customers are so passionate about.

"The Show n Shine will be a great way for us to directly meet with owners and drivers and discuss what is important for them in a truck, and for them to show off their own trucks and see what other Western Star enthusiasts are up to."

The Show n Shine will run from 11am to 4pm on September 9 at the Mt Cotton Training Centre in Cornubia, Queensland.
