WEIRD BUY: Keen to purchase this hot-pink LandCruiser?

EVER wanted to own a hot-pink Toyota LandCruiser? Now you can -  for just $10,000.

The bright pink 1998 diesel-powered 4WD has been causing quite a stir after it was posted on Facebook earlier this week.

The owner John, who asked his last name not be printed, said he bought the car a few years ago as an ex-company vehicle.

He said he loved the reaction the car got from passers-by when he would drive along in it.

"We do get some strange looks. It was an ex-hire vehicle and the company painted them pink to help them stand out," he said.

"They paint them that colour so they stand out. It's very bloody cheap advertising.

"You get people who have a laugh about it, especially when you see me driving because I'm fully tattooed."

The car's listing on Toowoomba Buy, Swap and Sell drew some hilarious comments from Facebook users.

Jim Hudd wrote: "Now that's a real man's car", while Lockie Commens posted: "Oh God! You can actually make a Cruiser ugly!"

But John said life was not meant to be taken seriously, which is why he loved owning the car.

"It gets more laughs than anything else," he said.

"We'd take it up the beach because what it's for; the reason you buy something is that you can drive it along the beach.

"It was a great car but it's time to move on."
