Wedding wonderland takes the cake to Warwick brides
THE brides-to-be were out in force in Warwick today for the fifth annual Warwick Wedding Expo.
Held at the Warwick Showgrounds, the expo featured more than 40 exhibitors and crowds streamed into the vene all day to take advantage of special offers and plan their special day.
Organiser Peta Murphy from Warwick Weddings and Events said she thought the crowds had been bigger than last year.
"It's been big that's for sure,” she said.
"The exhibits themselves have doubled in size, so we needed more space, of which there's plenty here at the showgrounds.
"On top of that, there's been some great interest all day and I know quite a few exhibitors have got a few bookings out of it all, which is fantastic.”
Mrs Murphy said the event was a one-stop shop for brides.
"Everything right here in the one place,” she said.
"And some of the special offer put up by the exhibitors have been unreal, these people planning their wedding have a great opportunity to score a real deal.
"As well as that I think everyone is generally having a great time.”
Margie Hamlet from Impact Lighting in Toowoomba was a hit with wedding planners as she showed off her indoor fireworks.
"They are completely safe, and make a real statement,” she said.
"A lot of people use them in conjunction with our smoke machine to have a really spectacular first dance.
"They're also very powerful on entry to or exit from the reception.”
Mrs Hamlet said the expo had been worth every second.
"This event is better than last year for sure,” she said.
"It's been so well organised, they've done an amazing job and it's set out so well.
"We've had a lot of interest all day, and we tend do get a lot of work out of these events.”
Another crowd-pleaser Mrs Hamlet had on display was the Mirror Me Booth, an interactive mirrored photobooth.
