Phil White

WE caught up with Phil White from Peterborough at the Sorell Creek bridge the other day on his way from Whyalla in South Australia to Collinsvale.

Phil was driving his 1990 Hino rigid pan (one of three in his fleet) and he was towing a trailer and he had enjoyed a comfortable voyage down aboard the "Spirit of Tasmania" the previous night from Melbourne to Devonport prior to delivering Noel Modystachi's furniture to his newly purchased house in Mill Road.

He tells us he really likes the Hinos, this one now has 1.5 million on the dial and is still running like a clock and doing the job trouble- free.

He has been driving now for 35 years and is still enjoying it, as well as seeing a bit of the country, and enjoying beautiful Tasmania as well before returning to Peterborough.
