HEAVY rain has brought an end to a "nightmare" couple of months for water delivery man Steve Cadogan.
The Pomona Water owner said he had been working long hours, seven days a week since about July and still couldn't meet demand.
"It was three months of absolute nightmare trying to keep up," Mr Cadogan said.
He was busy taking calls on Tuesday but they were from people cancelling delivery orders rather than making them.
"I had customers who had run out of water and I reckon I was hanging out for the rain more than them.
"That is how it gets after a while.
"It is worse than Groundhog Day."
He said customers had been reluctant to cancel until they were really sure the rain would be enough to fill their tanks.
"They are letting go now thankfully so I can get a bit of a life for a while."
Mr Cadogan said he wouldn't have been able to deliver orders this week anyway as floodwater across Louis Bazzo Dr had cut his home off.
He said he still had plenty of maintenance work to do and expected to be busy filling a few pools.
"There is always something to do."
