WATCH: Take a look inside Tannum's tapas bar

TAPAS de Vino opened its doors to the public on Friday night.

The latest restaurant and bar to open in Tannum Sands is owned by long time resident Peter Hagan.

He told The Observer earlier this year he had toyed with the idea of opening up a bar for a couple of years.

"It's something that Tannum Sands desperately needs," he said.

It is located at the new development building with shops and units, on Pacific Ave.

"When I saw that premise was available I thought, wow, there's the opportunity just staring me in the face," he said.

The tapas are influenced by Latin and South American cuisines.

The restaurant will be open from 10am on weekdays and for breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Due to issues with gaining a liquor licence, it will be BYO drinks until December.
