UPDATE: Beau Ryan is not coming to Gladstone on Monday

UPDATE 5:20pm:

IF YOU had your heart set on dancing with Beau Ryan at MiePlace or even your place on Monday night you're out of luck.

The NRL Footy Show star has had to cancel his overnight stay in Gladstone in the name of charity.

Beau is going to be on the Channel Nine Gold Telethon raising money for the Sydney Children's Hospital on Monday night but don't despair, he is coming to Gladstone on Tuesday morning.

Hogs Breath Cafe owner Alex Staines has been talking with the NRL Footy Show's producer and said Beau would still make the Maroons Fan Day and film his Beau Knows segment in Gladstone.

In correspondence with the producer Alex was asked what the television crew should do between the 10.30am parade and the 2pm rugby league clinic.

"Anything you can suggest, something physical, fun, dangerous?" the email reads.

Alex also thanked Avis and Bill Robertson Toyota for providing a free car for the television crew to use while it was in Gladstone.

EARLIER 8.34am:

HE IS loved for his banter by the blokes and good looks by the ladies and now NRL Footy Show star Beau Ryan is coming to Gladstone.

The former Wests Tigers and Cronulla Sharks player will arrive in Gladstone on Monday to film a segment for the Channel Nine show at the Maroons Fan Day on Tuesday June 14.

The segment of the show, Beau Knows, sees Beau hitting the streets and asking punters questions about footy, life and their home towns.

It's a win for Gladstone to be seen on national television with an audience in Queensland of more than 50,000 just watching the show on WIN each week.

The player who made 126 first grade appearances and score 53 tries in his career will be joined by a producer, cameraman and sound technician.

It will be interesting to see what happens when the New South Welshman is let loose in Goondoon St surrounded by fanatic Queensland Maroons fans.
