Watch out for fake websites, warns Fair Trading

THE Office of Fair Trading is warning Mackay consumers to watch out for classified scams after reports of a sophisticated scam involving fraudulent shipping business websites.

Fair Trading executive director Brian Bauer said scammers were listing fake advertisements on trading websites and in newspapers selling second-hand vehicles, caravans, motorcycles and boats.
