AFTER the spate of serious accidents on NSW roads in recent months, the state's first public inquiry into heavy vehicle safety gets underway in Parliament House in Sydney on Monday.

Submissions start at 9am and finish at 4.45pm and include input from Bill McKinley, Chief of Staff, Australian Trucking Association, Ron Finemore, Executive Chairman Ron Finemore Transport, and a host of academics and industry chiefs.
