A VIDEO posted to social media shows the moment a large carpet snake was caught in a Groomsville shed.

Toowoomba Snake Catchers 24/7 owner Dave Wiedman said the property owner did not want the snake to be harmed by any other animals so he relocated it to a new home away from harm.

"If you don't move the fella, then he doesn't see you as a threat," he said.

"He's very relucant to bite."

The video then shows the snake being released back in to the wild in the bush.
