Want to see cool army trucks?

DO YOU want to go for a ride in a military vehicle?

Well, then make sure you head to this year's Edinburgh Truck Show on October 6, which is the annual fundraiser for the National Military Vehicle Museum.

You'll get the chance to ride in a tank and hard tracks, as well as monster trucks.

Highlights include a large display of Australian Defence Force vehicles - a selection of World War II trucks - a Jeep Munster and a Land Rover Munster, in line with the show's theme of military and civilian trucks of the past and present.

There will also be 25 pounder gun firing displays and Nuclear veteran Avon Hudson will be visiting as well as an art display by Barry Spicer.

In addition, there will be various other activities held inside the museum including free face painting for children and a military gamers' display.

Another part of the event is to prepare for next year's 'Back to the Track' where every five years various vehicle restoration groups retrace the old World War II supply route from Alice Springs to Darwin. To date, about 150 restored vehicles will be involved in the event.
