Wall of Legends to be unveiled at truck show today

THE highlight of today's Heywood Truck and Ute Show is the unveiling of the South West Road Transport Wall of Legends. 

Truck and Ute Show coordinator Lindy Annett said the wall, which would be unveiled during the show, honoured truckies who had been in the industry for 25 years. 

"What makes it special is that the wall has been community built," she said. 

Today, 11 names will be put on the wall, with six added every other year after, she said.

The truck and ute show will be held in conjunction with the Wood Wine and Roses Show and include food and market stalls, a sideshow, roaming entertainment, Roy Orbison and Robbie Williams tribute shows, fireworks, a circus and more. 

Glen "Yogi" Kendall from Outback Trucker will also make an appearance at the event. 

Gates open at 7am and judging for the truck and ute show, which will have 100 trucks and 80 utes on show, starts at 11am.
