A CAR travelling between the Helidon Spa and Withcott has narrowly avoided colliding with a merging truck.

Matthew Zessin captured footage of the close call on his rear dash cam.

The incident took place between the Helidon Spa and Withcott.

"The truck was driving a bit erratic for a while, so I was watching him closely," Mr Zessin said.

"It's hard to tell from the camera but I was only just clear when he merged."

The footage shows the car had to take evasive action as the truck merged between lanes.

The car was forced to the side of the road.
