VIDEO: Travelling Lego display attracts thousands
THE Brick Event has been held at the Mackay Showgrounds, with a spectacular display of Lego intricacy.
It is a travelling show that is put together by an organisation called the Queensland Lego User Group.
Organiser Adrian Murphy said that on Saturday, about 2500 people attended, and Sunday was looking to be the same sort of figure.
The Brick Event displays throughout Queensland, but this is the first time it has appeared in Mackay. It is expected to return in a few years time.
He said the most popular displays were the big city and the trains.
"The city has been growing for about five years now, it's one of my displays and is one of the larger ones we have here,” Mr Murphy said.
"I keep changing it around, adding new buildings, and I keep growing it, making it more detailed and more fun for the kids.
"This is one of our core displays, we have many group members who go to some of the shows, but this one goes everywhere.”
