RUSSIA'S most famous punk rock outfit, Pussy Riot have released a new song and video clip online.

Decked out in bright clothes and their trademark ski masks, the punks rock away on top of a oil tanker.

The new song compares President Vladimir Putin to an "ayatollah in Iran".

It is their first performance in almost a year since three band members were jailed for performing a "punk prayer" in Moscow's main cathedral.
