OPINION: TV reality show wins hearts

THE LATEST love reality show Married at First Sight has captured the attention of my house.

Let me clarify that, while I do live there, the remote control is not in my control on the nights it has aired.

So like many men I am an unwilling viewer of the show that is so unbelievable it just has to be believed.

I'd love to know just what the bride and groom are paid to subject themselves to such scrutiny.

Surely they can't be that desperate for love.

Then again it has been many, many years since I played the dating game.

I did find out in those years that meeting someone who you could spend the rest of your life with was a difficult search indeed.

So I'll give the benefit of the doubt to our four newly weds and I'll watch alongside my wife and daughter as they take the ultimate step and start living together.

As my mother once said to me, "it's only after you live with someone that you find out what they are really like".

Mum's words, as usual, were spot on.

I should add here before I get in trouble , that I was blessed I did find the right person.
