IN THE lead-up to Christmas and the New Year break, truck driver Joel Sutton and his offsider Brad Moulden are popular in north Queensland.

Joel drives a 1997 model Hino and, along with Brad, works for Townsville Transport Services (TTS).

They deliver alcohol to many hotels and bottle shops and were busy doing just that when Big Rigs saw them on November 30.

"It is so busy as the festive season approaches we have been delivering about 20 pallets each working day," Joel said.

Brad said they hand unloaded the alcohol and the Hino was suited for the job.

With the start of summer and temperatures generally in the 30s in daylight hours, much of the population have a big thirst.
