Bill Daly

VETERAN driver Bill Daly reckons his trusty Toyota Dyna light rig has paid him back "100 times over".

The 71-year-old Bill is based to Nome in north Queensland and has owned the 1988 model Dyna for the past 15 years.

"It has been a very good truck for me and has been a great workhorse," Bill said when Big Rigs saw him on October 17.

Bill used to have a 10 acre small crops farm and these days picks up fruit and vegetables from various properties and delivers them to shops.

"I get around to a lot of farms and meet lots of great people," he said.

Nome is a small hamlet just south of Townsville and Bill reckons the Dyna will give him many more years of service.
