TONY Gardner has a small rag penguin in the cabin of his 2007 model Kenworth.
We asked the 30-year-old Tony what was the story behind the penguin and he was delighted to supply an answer.
"A few years ago I was sitting down south whilst delivering and a friend asked me what I was doing and I told him I was fighting off penguins," Tony said.
Tony said the story spread among people he knew in the road transport industry so he decided to keep the penguin in his rig.
Woodgate-based Tony loves spending time with his kids and family during his off time.
His favourite roadhouse is the BP at Wandoan because the staff are friendly and Tony has hauled general from Warwick to Townsville and was heading to Atherton when we yarned to him on April 12.
