HEADING north up the Hume via a quick stop at the Barnawartha North BP, was Michael Csorba from south-east Queensland.
The 25-year-old was behind the wheel of a Kenworth T900, which is powered along by a 14 litre Detroit Diesel Series 60, with the classic styling of the Kenworth standing out among the other trucks on the road.
"She's a solid old tractor, all original spec and paint, it's done over three million and I reckon she's better than a new one,” Michael said.
The Kenworth is one of three Michael and his father run under the banner of Csorba Transport, running steel, general and oversize freight Australia wide, and Michael had earlier in the day loaded four large steel pipes out of Melbourne bound for Oberon in New South Wales.
Michael has grown up in transport with his father George involved in transport as an owner-operator for over 50 years, and the third generation is coming along with Michael's wife and five-year-old son often accompanying him on trips.
