Noel Keene

NOEL Keene drives a 1992 Scania for CBK Removals and is based at beautiful Malanda, on the Atherton Tableland.

The truck driver of 30 years was taking material to Victoria when we met him on November 2 in North Queensland.

But the battery in Noel's truck was flat and he walked to the area at the back of the Bohle Little Acre, where drivers sit.

"I asked if anybody had jumper leads and one very helpful truckie came to my assistance and I was very thankful," Noel said.

That Good Samaritan was Rob Brines, who featured in Trucking in the Tropics a few editions ago.

"Our batteries were different voltage, so I push-started his truck using my bullbar," Rod said.

The 63-year-old Noel also does spray-painting on his days off.
