PRIVATE Jessica Hoult is part of the Australian Army's 3rd Combat Service Battalion based in Townsville and she gets to drive several heavy vehicles in her role.
Originally from the Gold Coast, Jessica was on duty in uniform during the NRL's round eight Anzac Tribute matches.
She was stationed outside the North Queensland Cowboys' home ground as part of Australian Defence Force displays before Johnathan Thurston's boys took a win over the Newcastle Knights.
"I get to drive a Bushranger, a Unimog and a Mack and they are all amazing," Jessica said.
The 23-year-old said she was delighted to be able to show trucks to members of the public who were on their way to watch the game.
"I really like my job and getting to drive all of these trucks," she said.
Jessica has been in the army for 18 months and was surprised when she was told the average age of Australian truck drivers was only in the fifties.
She was impressed by the number of people who checked out the trucks and chatted to the youngsters who asked about a potential career in the Defence Force.
