Truckin' in the Tropics: Brad Klemm

A BANDANA around his head is a trademark of friendly Brisbane-based truckie Brad Klemm who works for Auscan Transport.

"I have worn it for about 20 years,” he said.

Aged 39, Brad was driving a Kenworth 401 and stopped on the outskirts of Townsville after travelling up from Sydney.

"I have got equipment for the RAAF base in Townsville and have been a truckie for a couple of years,” he said.

Brad likes stopping at the BP Cluden because there is ample parking and good food.

"They make a really good coffee,” he said.

The worst road he gets on is the Carnarvon Highway, from Injune to Rolleston.

Brad looks forward to time off and doesn't follow football.

"I like having a drink at home and spending time with friends,” he said.

Brad was parked up at the BP Cluden near two other company trucks and drivers.
