Truckie's message: We need to be strong and do this

OPERATORS keep complaining about raising costs of everything and now the costs of a new tolled road.

When the one thing that needs to be done requires a strong backbone and determination, these costs are to be passed on to the customers.

They're part of the cost, treat it as such.

Yes, prices will rise and the economy blah blah.

But by not adding it into the cost structure (aka charging peanuts), we are feeding this dog-eat-dog world in the industry (any industry really) and it will be everyone's demise.

Have a look how many companies are going bust at the moment.

Yes, of course some might be a fan of the Phoenix system but some really aren't doing business right and keep charging less and one day the business just isn't sustainable any more.

We don't need laws for that. We need knowledge and determination.
