Truckie Brett loves the fast life

"I HAVE had this business for two years now; it had previously belonged to my father in law, Graham Pitt, who started it over 20 years ago.

"Prior to this I worked as a foreman for Chris Colegrave Auto Mechanics for about 20 years, but then I had the opportunity and bought this outfit in 2017, and I can honestly say I haven't ever looked back!”

Brett O'Shea from Launceston told was driving his "Launceston Towing” 2015 LF 250 Daf tow truck at the time and had brought one job down to Hobart and was now on his way to Saint Mary's and then back to Launceston.

He told us he is keeping very busy at the moment, and that he thought the Daf was a great choice for the job, tough and powerful enough but still economical and comfortable to drive.

"You get a heap of variety here and meet some really nice people as well. When I get a bit of time off, my wife Honni and I both race cars, both in Launceston and Hobart, but also at Bathurst. I have a Nascar powered Commodore and Honni has a Lotus "Exige” and a 914/6 Porsche, so I guess life tends to revolve around driving, one way or another!”
