Truck driver to be flown to Brisbane after highway crash

A TRUCK driver has been flown to hospital in Brisbane with serious head and chest injuries after a three-vehicle crash that has closed the Bruce Highway this morning. 

The crash happened on the highway at Howard, near Philips St, about 10.30am. 

Four other patients, including two young boys, were taken to the Maryborough Hospital in a stable condition. 

It is not known how the crash happened, but the Courier Mail reports that two cars and two trucks were involved.
