Woman in shock after chock fell off truck travelling in front

MICHELLE Krause was driving past the duck pond with her three-year-old son in the car when it happened.

It was about 11.25am when a large wheel chock fell off a truck travelling in front, and collided with the oil container of her car.

"It hit underneath the car. I tried to swerve and miss it but there was traffic in the other lane," Mrs Krause said.

"It quite literally pissed out oil.

"I got such a fright. If it had bounced any higher that would have been it."

Now their only family car is at the mechanic facing upwards of $800 in repair work.

"I know the truck driver won't own up," she said.

"But I think they need to do more checks to see if everything is secure."
