Triple threat for the Bradfords

WHEN you're aged 14 and 10, you don't really expect your family to grow any more.

New pets, maybe, but a new sister?

This is the reality for Sara and Kay-Lee Bradford, who Mum Samantha Wain said are "over the moon” to have a new sister, Ella Kate Ann, who was born in Bundaberg on May 3.

"They spoil her a lot,” Ms Wain said.

She said 10 years is a big age gap, but the girls are taking it all in their stride.

Ms Wain said Ella was a "pleasant surprise.”

Ms Wain's mother Celia drove her to the hospital at 4am for Ella's delivery.

Ella's name was a certainty from the moment her Mum found out about her.

Ella is a shortening of 'Ellen', which was the name of Ms Wain's grandmother, who she was close with.

Kate was Ellen's middle name.

Meanwhile, 'Ann' is "in the family everywhere”, Ms Wain said.

Ms Wain said she doesn't know how long she will take off work.

"We'll see how it goes,” she said.

She said she's coping surprisingly well with the lack of sleep.

"I thought I'd be tired, but I'm still doing everything I need to do,” Ms Wain said.
