FRASER Coast tourism operators should include information on their websites to help people with mobility problems make the best decisions about their holiday destinations.

Owner of the Emeraldene Inn and Eco-Lodge Rob Lennon made the call when accepting his Best Accommodation award at the Inclusive Community Champions awards conducted by the Spinal Injuries Association.

The emeraldene.com.au website gives details of its two accessible suites which have been specifically designed and built for wheelchair access, or for those with reduced mobility.

These rooms have inter-connecting carer accommodation and feature a kitchenette, huge free-form bathroom and lowered facilities.

The site provides door handle height, door width, space beside the toilet, grab rail height and minimum clear circulation space.
