IF YOU are lucky enough to have time off over Christmas and New Year, the team at Big Rigs trusts you have a safe and happy time and are able to come back rested and refreshed for 2018.

To let you know some of what truckin' events are coming up in early 2018 here's a list of a few to get involved in, and bring the family along to.

December and New Year Holidays

Enjoy the time off, if you are lucky enough to get a break, but stay safe out there.

Here's a growing list of date-claimers to help you plan your 2018:

January 13 and 14: The Geelong Classic Truck and Machinery Show at the Geelong Showgrounds.

January 20: Tooradin Tractor Pull and Truck Show.

There's also a car show as part of the event too.

It's all being at the Rutter Reserve at Tooradin in Victoria.

Australia Day long weekend (January 27 and 28): The Allora Heritage Weekend at the Allora Showgrounds on the New England Highway, Allora, Queensland.

Among its display themes for 2018 are Chamberlain and Caterpillar tractors, Chrysler cars and Volvo and European trucks.

February 17 and 18: The Highway 31 "Spirit of the Hume" truck display and celebratory dinner dance at the at Broadford in Victoria.

March 17: Oil Patch Reunion 2018 at the Woolshed at Jondaryan, Queensland .

March 17 and 18: 2018 Mack Muster at the Kyabram Showgrounds.

March 23 and 24: 2018 Livestock, Bulk and Rural Carriers Association's annual conference with the theme "Cutting Red Tape" at the Opal Cove Resort, Coffs Harbour.
